RESEARCH
Getting closer to the truth.
Our quest for elevating the wellbeing at workplaces worldwide is backed up by scientific literature, which we frequently consult and cherish in the development of Aware. Research forms the bedrock of our project, and have had a profound effect on the design and architecture of Aware´s platform.

In the spirit of openness, we share the scientific knowledge and research - see below.
SCIENCEÂ BASED KNOWLEDGE
We would like to help managers identify stress in an easy way.

IDENTIFYING STRESS
Based on research, we found that there is absolutely no need for user engagement (input) when identifying an individual's stress level. Instead it can be done solely by using physiological indicators, such as heart rate patterns. That's why we have developed a user friendly solution that requires zero user engagement. A zero click solution allows you to address stress in your workplace without adding more tasks to your employees.

USER ACCEPTANCE
Stress triggers are complicated and the idea of a smartwatch helping to reduce stress in the workplace could be perceived as uncomfortable to some. Keeping this in mind we went out to figure out how people felt about this idea. Our results can best be summarized through the answers to this question:

If your employer gave you a smartwatch to help you and the workplace reduce stress would you be okay with it?

With no further information given, an overwhelming
70% of participants answered "yes". the remaining 30% were mainly concerned about privacy, but mostly open to the idea if they felt their privacy was protected. To address this understandable concern, we have consulted the EDCC (Europe Direct Contact Center). Aware privacy data regulations is by EDCC evaluated to be more strict than what the European privacy data regulations demands. This area is important to us, because we want our customers to feel safe when using our services.
